COLUMBIA, S.C. - A South Carolina woman accused of promising couples she would be their surrogate mother has been charged with bilking at least six people out of $14,000, police said Thursday.
Jessica O'Donnell, 28, used the Internet to lure couples desperate to have children, prosecutors said. She was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses and was being held Thursday on $140,000 bail.

Let me start off by saying that any person that is unable to conceive children, has every right to pursue becoming a parent by any and all means available. Like i have told several people, the greatest job in the world is being a Daddy. But this whole thing had scam written on it from the start.
Jessica was pimping her womb to any and everybody. She convinced several people to mail, along with cash, frozen sperm to a place for her retrieval.
Once again, if you want to enjoy parenthood, i am sure you would seriously weigh any and all options to have a child, but you gotta get up pretty early in the morning to convince me to send my man-gravy along with my cash to someone who "i dont know from adam-housecat" to quote Mrs. Balogger.
Damn...what did she do with all that semen?
The police said she collected like $16,000 from wanna-be parents. I feel real sorry for those folks and i am sure i am going to get some flack behind my next comment, but they should have known better.
Why would you think this was anything but a scam? Regardless of what this woman told me, unless she lived across the street from me, there is no way i would believe she was gonna use my love juice to impregnate herself.
I just had a sick thought....
What if Mrs. Jessica was legit and was willing to insert some anonymous baby batter in her body BUT... someone sent her seed from a horse and 9months later she.......
