BLIZZARD IN NC!!!!!

Happy New Year Yall!!!

Its the first post of '08.

For those that dont know, I live in NC. And like i have said in previous posts, i have been around the globe quite abit, but i seemed to find my way back to my roots.

We got our first snow storm today.

I think it snowed for about 30min. Total accumulation: .008" (not really sure..just guessing)

A Local news station even had a photo expose on the snow fall today. I mean really, who gives a shit if you got white flakes on your leaves?

What makes people in the south crazy over snow???

I spent about 4years in North Dakota. When I say i NEVER want to see snow again, I mean it. People go absolutley crazy over snow. They crowd the grocery stores and leave all of theri driving skills at home.

I am sure folks in the nothern tier states laugh at the spectacle we make of ourselves anytime at snows. I, for one am glad we dont get much snow (if any). There was an ice storm here about 3years ago. The whole area shut down. Major Highways were literal parking lots for HOURS. Kids got left at school. It was a mess. How did I handle it? I was in Iraq at the time, so I missed the "frustration", But boy do i hear the stories from Mrs. Balogger.

To see my coworkers today, crowding the window to look at "snow" was embarrassing. The way they were acting, you would have thought it was manna from heaven falling from the sky.

"Look, everybody...ITS SNOWING!!!"

Here's a tip...if you have to squint your eyes to see it snowing...it aint snowing...

...but i could be wrong
