I couldn't believe it when i heard it. Now that the results are in, i still cant believe it.

Check this out

Mark Ecko, yes this ecko , won Barry Bonds' record breaking 756th home run ball, for the price of $750K. He then started an online poll of what to do with the ball.

What to do with it ?!?!?!?

You paid almost a million bucks for it!!! Put that shit on your mantle or any other place for safe keeping.

The choices for what to do with the ball was

a. Send it to Cooperstown unblemished
b. Blast it off to outer space (WTF)
c. Send it to Cooperstown, but marked with an asterisk (which somehow is supposed to tarnish Barry's accomplishment based on the alleged steroid use.

First of all, why would he pay that much for the ball in the first place if he wasnt going to keep it? Seems like another example of a Rich Fool.

Keep the damn ball.

One of the choices was to send it to outer space.

Is that what we do with controversial items now? Banishment!!!

I guess if OJ is found guilty, he may get booted off the planet.

What right does anybody have to say what gets to stay on earth and what doesnt?

The public decided to have this ball sent to the Hall of Fame with an asterisk on it.

Mr. Bonds response?? The guy is "an idiot". I agree Barry.

He aint even finished hitting home runs so, in my opinion, the ball is not that special. The special one should be his last one.

Steroids or not, hitting a home run is not an easy thing to do. I played baseball in my youth and unless you are playing t-ball, a home run is not guaranteed. The fact that this man did it 750+ times should be commended.

And where was all the controversy when Mark McGuire hit 62 HR's. Wasnt he being accused of the same thing? I dont remember an asterisk being placed on that ball or the 8 other he hit the remainder of the season.

I am not defending Barry. Like i said in Post the First, i am not a sports nut, but when i hear a fashion designer talking about launching something into space, my radar goes up.

What if it got launched into space and during one of the routine shuttle missions, they hit the damn thing. I guess Barry gets blamed for that too, right??

The proper thing to do would be to either leave the ball as is and give it to Barry, donate it, or use it. After all...ITS JUST A DAMN BALL!!!

...but i could be wrong
