Poor Amy Bruce

My recent posts havent been current events, and neither is this one.

I got an email from a family member earlier this week. I immediately got concerned because i dont normally hear from him through the email, and the subject said Please respond ASAP.

WOW!!!

ASAP..as soon as possible.

My mind starts wondering.

Death in the family???

He needs a place to stay???

He won the lottery and he is gonna break me off a piece of the pie?!?!?!

Well, sorry to say it wasnt any of those. He wanted to let me know about Amy Bruce.

*PICTURED ABOVE*

Who the f**k is that. I dont remember her from the family reunion.

So I read on, thinking maybe she is cousin i havent met..you never know.

Amy is 7 years old...with lung cancer and as it that wasnt bad enough, she has a brain tumor from constant beatings also.

Oh no...

Cousin Amy...

Why is the world so cruel????? I keep reading

Amy is having problems paying the medical bills....and will die if the family cant pay the bills

I look at the cobwebs in my wallet...better pass this to the next cousin

But wait..there's hope

The good folks at The Make a Wish Foundation have agreed to donate some loot to help Cuz'n Amy.

Whew...cuz if she needed me, she would have to wait until the 15th and it would have just been a bottle of Motrin from me.

So lets see how much they are going to donate

According to the email they will DONATE 7 cents every time this email is sent......
.
.
.
.
MAN..

Why..why why why why why why why

How simple can people be??

There is no girl named Amy Bruce dying. Dont believe me? Check this

Back in the late 90's, there was an email floating around that basically said AOL and Microsoft were teaming up to track the durability of the Internet Explorer or some BS like that. For everybody that you forward to the message to, Microsoft will cut you a check.

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD THEY SEND YOU MONEY?

People must get a kick out of forwarding bullsh!t around to their friends. I dont understand it.

This no reflection on my cousin. He may have thought it was legit.

I get stuff like this all the time.

The ones that I really hate are the ones where you have to forward the email in 7minutes or you will have bad luck for 7 years, well guess what. I am printing off your email and i will wipe my ass with it 7times.

These types of emails are modern day chain letters. My mother got a chain letter back in the day one time. I think we used it as a dust pan.

Now a child with a terminal illness is nothing to joke about, but there is no Amy Bruce.

Whats really funny is that somebody in this country is sitting back laughing his ass off.

Who might that be?

The person that started the email.

I should start one
.
.
. . Ok here it goes:

Hi, My name is Stevie Jones. I am 47 years old. I never got out much as i was growing up. A tragic bowel accident in my 8th grade year while on a field trip earned me the name "Droopy Drawls". I never quite recovered from the constant teasing.

My doctor said if i dont move out of my mother's basement, I will never lose my virginity.
The good folks at Playboy Magazine said that if you forward this email to 8,392,190 people in the next 60 seconds, they will send over Miss November to pleasure me.

Have a heart, dont let me down.
.
.
.
Sounds crazy right???

Well so does forwarding an email to generate money for a lung.

Think people !!!! All of this stuff is BS

No company is gonna track emails and make some massive donation (there's no way to track it)

No need to boycott Tommy Hilfiger for what he said on Oprah (never happened)

You wont have 7yrs bad luck if you dont send an email to 7 people in 7 min

Stop making wishes just because an email tells you it will come true (if it was true, there would be a billion millionaires in the world)

Do what i do.

If someone sends you an email like the one i mentioned above, type any key info in a yahoo or google search box. If you see hoax listed anywhere, you can be sure that the person who sent you the email should be beaten with a brick.

Lets use the email for what it was made for:

JOKES and YouTube videos!!!!
But i could be wrong.....

8 Puffs. Leave yours here.:

i got the e-mail of Amy Bruce i thought it was true till today.i looked it up on google and found out it was a stupid hoax.so i copied a thing from the internet that said the status was false and i e-mailed it 2 everyone on my contact list.i was realy repulsed by knowing that someone made up a rumor of a 7 year old girl that had lung cancer and a brain tumor.by the way...is amy bruce a real person or just a name someone made up?

*Sigh* It WAS my name before I got married. And it was the name of someone I went to college with as well (different middle names, though). So, no. Not a made up name. However, I was a 7-year-old girl once... just not one with lung cancer and brain tumors. I hate this hoax. Why not use Jenny Smith or something? Stupid chain emails.

I remember this e-mail from many moons ago. MANY MOONS. I have just recieved it AGAIN. I get so fed-up with these mails. I can not believe there are still people falling for that stupid story.
I even recieved mail about missing kids. I normally phone the numbers provided to authenticate the message. 99% of the time it's a hoax.

I normally dont reply to comments left here, but the last comment left by 'stussy' has forced me to break my silence.

For you to accuse me of putting "a curse on a childs life" is ridiculously sad. What curse?!!? I didnt know I had the power to place curses on people...especially through my keyboard.

Its obvious that you missed the entire point of this post if you are so easily offended. I suggest you go back, read it again, and try not to take things so serious.

When it comes down to it, whether you read it or not, I want you to remember one thing.....

AMY BRUCE IS NOT A REAL PERSON!!!
