Me?
Where do I start? I have had an interesting life, so far. I grew
up in a "suburb" of a semi-metro city. I used the term
suburb to keep from saying i grew up in the country.
Country life wasn't that bad. Not that I lived on a farm,
but it wasnt Harlem either. Small high school. Approx 150
in my graduating class. From high school I went to a
predominantly black university, but lack of focus and
outside peer pressure cut that short. From there I
worked a few menial jobs around the city-menial in the
sense of going door to door selling watches and puppet-monkeys and solar powered radios (which actually were
kinda cool and affordable at $10). There was no future
in harassing people, so I joined the Air Force. 4 years
later, i returned home. Then I began my crawl up the
corporate ladder. Not with one company, but several
different ones, each time putting a little more in my
pocket. Married and the proud father of 2 beautiful
girls, so now my primary role in life is "to keep them off the
pole" -thanks Chris Rock!!!
So why blog? Well, my climb up the corporate ladder took
me to a small country you may have heard of called Iraq.While there I started, what I considered a journal of my time there. Why?? So that people could read about me in case I got disassembled. That blog got so much attention, and since i never
really completed it, i figured why not start another
one..and make it an ongoing thing. I enjoyed writing it, but my dilemma now is what to
write about. There are so many blogs out there, where
would mine fit in? Well that's the beauty about it, it
doesn't have to fit anywhere. This is my blog, my views
about things i want to talk about.

Back in the day, the only public voice a man had was if
he wanted to write an editorial in the local newspaper,
or maybe he got lucky enough to get interviewed by a
local tv station. There was no one other than your family and
friends who would actually listen to you bitch about why
kids wear pants hanging off their ass. No one cared, and
you know what, they still don't, but its entertaining.
What i have found in my travels around this world is that
every has an opinion and it only matters to the person
who has it. Nobody gives a damn about each other.

That is my disclaimer. There will be things in here to
make you smile, make you laugh, make you mad, maybe even
cry. I wont give too much personal info...what you got
at the top is it.
I want to give my perspective on news related items, tv
and movies, and general statements on sports, music and
the arts. I am not a sports nut- I cant tell you who won
the super bowl 3 years ago. I am not big on the music
scene any more. New Edition is the greatest group in my
opinion. Everyone else is out to emulate them. I love reality tv even though it strays away from any reality you and i may be accustomed to having. Regular TV shows like 24, The Wire, Prison Break, The Shield, and newcomer...Heroes, all take up my evenings after my parental duties are done. Thank God for DVR.

I'm an IT worker bee, but I don't plan on taking too
much time discussing an industry that changes day to
day. I cant keep up. Besides who cares if you got an iPhone-the damn thing is going to be out-dated this time next year.

Other than that, that's me. enjoy. leave comments (good or bad), and try to enjoy life. It will all be over one day.
